Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team. In this vital role, you will manage the accurate and efficient handling of imported mobile phones and accessories. The position involves overseeing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with suppliers, couriers, and customs for seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process customer orders and forward requisition details to storage and distribution teams.
• Plan delivery schedules, formulate vehicle routes, and assign tasks to delivery personnel.
• Monitor tachograph readings and maintain logs of driver hours and distances traveled.
• Obtain customs clearance and handle import/export documentation for goods movement.
• Keep detailed records of freight, container movements, and staff locations.
• Verify incoming shipments for accuracy in quantity and quality.
• Prepare and manage shipping documents efficiently.
• Maintain precise inventory records and ensure proper storage procedures.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers, customs, and couriers to ensure smooth operations.
• Address and resolve any shipping issues or delays promptly.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in shipping, logistics, or a related role.
• Familiarity with customs regulations and international import/export processes.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management tools.
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability.
